Whenever there is some spree killing, it seems like the media always drags video games through the dirt. From the way they act, you would assume that an enormously high percentage of school shootings were perpetrated by someone who plays video game. However, if you look at the actual statistics, you would find that video games are among the least consumed mediums among school shooters. Only 12% of school attackers showed interest in played violent video games, compared to 27% showing interest in violent movies and 24% showing interest in violent books and 37% showed interested in violence through their own writings.

I think there is evidence for days that shows video game violence does not have any meaningful contribution to real world violence
