Lol, no it wouldn't.  Wii's $250 price was part of its success.  Wii would have never been the hit it was with casuals if it had launched at $399.  That's too much to ask for from them.  Especially when quite a few were impulse buys after trying it out at a friend's house and having so much fun with Wii Sports and Play.  Even core gamers were willing to sacrifice power because it was cheaper AND had motion controls bundled in.  Unfortuantely for the Wii, the fun and motion control fad didn't exactly have a lasting affect, which is why sales began to tank halfway through the gen. 

And just so you know, casuals aren't exactly buying the PS4.  That's the core market.  Once the PS4 hits $299, even more likely at $199, you'll see quite a few more casuals jumping in.
