 I don't know... the characters in Mortal Kombat themselves had quite a huge powergap going on.

On the one side... this Cop, this movie star, this Jackie Chan-ish guy, and a guy with a razor hat.  On the Other... this giant 4 armed monster, the guy who can steal souls and the guy who urusrped the power of the god of his realm!
