Pardon my late response...

If CoD on Wii U struggles to achieve 300K then there simply isn't much of a reason to put multiplat core games on Wii U. Maybe you'll argue those were sloppy ports but the masses don't know that and the Wii ports were worse due to technical limitations.

Exclusive 3rd party Wii U games done okay but that's simply because people don't have other options. If Bayonetta 2 was on PS4 and X1 as well the Wii U version would have sold a fraction.

Why is this even a debate? The Wii U is selling poorly, core gamers probably felt burned on OG Wii, so that audience flocked to X1 and PS4 in record numbers.

Gamers today read up on which is the better version of a game. And lateness has even more of an impact.

LEGO City is about the only mainstream exclusive (that's not a Nintendo property) of solid quality, and it sold pretty well.

Third parties could have sold better on Wii U; for the most part, they fumbled the opportunity to do so with either late and/or bad games.
