A long storyline, an open world setting (the size similar to a GTA game, you don't really need to be gigantic, but something similar to San Andreas would be nice. If not having multiple regions, use an area big enough to fit that world, like Canada, Brazil or Russia), glorious HD pokemon fights, a public colisseum, where you can bet your pokeyens watching others fight (like Twitch Plays Pokemon Stadium), the ability to fight online against X/Y and OR/AS players, character customization, a ranking system for every battle mode (daily, weekly, monthly, special tournaments), pokemon contests ingle player and multiplayers, the underground tunnel exploration to look for fossils or special gems, Pokemon-Amie on the Gamepad, minigames Stadium-like, being able to find any sngle pokemon ever (because there is no need for two versions in a home console), online voice chat, amiibo functions with ANY amiibo (to get new items or clothes for customization of character or pokemon for contests), a radar to find rare pokemon in tall grass, no overreliance on MOs...

I'm sure I can ask for more, but I don't know what right now. Making a game like this I'm sure recquires half the efford used in Xenoblade Chronicles X or Zelda U, and it would sell the WiiU like no other game did (maybe MK still passes it, but I think it could pass Smash).

You know it deserves the GOTY.
