It is a very good showing for a new survival horror franchise. I doubt it will ever pass Resident Evil 6 because I think it is widely accepted that it sold more like 6 million. Still, The Evil Within obviously impressed many fans of the genre and considering the state of survival horror that is certainly good. I have yet to play it because I have gravitated away from survival horror recently. However, I may yet give this game a go once I catch up on some of my backlog of games. As others have stated, I am curious why Bethesda has not announced numbers if this has sold so well. That does seem strange.
