Star Wars-level big implies maybe something along the lines of Tolkien or Marvel. Maybe Lord of the Rings?
That said I hope this guy is confusing an (very) old report from the late 1990s, when Nintendo was bidding for the rights to the Harry Potter franchise (which UK-based Rare was going to develop). EA ended up winning the contract instead.
