It's a huge step up from Zelda I and Zelda II though. That I can appreciate.

Nostalgia naturally plays a good bit in this too. For a lot of people here, it could well be the first Zelda game they played. No matter how awesome ALBW is, you can't top nostalgia and childhood memories.

In short, noone here "dislikes" ALBW and it certainly isn't under-appreciated. It just faced tough competition, is all. Which is a shame.
