It's still a far better game than OoT ever will be. Gamers are so predictable, the first in a series is always the best. In reality, they're almost always the worst.

The NES Zeldas are the worst 2D Zeldas and the N64 Zeldas are the worst 3D ones as far as I'm concerned.

The N64 Zeldas are the best 3D ones, the worst are the DS Celdas and Twilight Princess.
