Ha. I've been recently playing Banjo Kazooie, and I gotta say it's the most complete platformer of the generation. I never got into Mario 64 as a kid. DK 64 was also my most played game on the 64 and I absolutely loved it though I understand why many don't, but as a kid I gave it all my dedication and time (took me two years to get to the final stage and I couldn't get the stupid Rare Coin!!!).
Anyways yeah they weren't overrated. At the time they were fantastic games and talented people. Now though, of course gaming has evolved massively so it's not the same.
