4,5,6,7 is what I consider a few years. The beast known as the ps4 will do it easily.  Only the ps2 will sell more lifetime. 

You think so? I really can't see the PS4 finishing second. Great system, and it's selling at a hell of a clip early on but, unlike the other consoles before it (this goes for Xbone as well), it's vastly underpowered. The PS1, PS2 and PS3 were all huge leaps ahead and that kept developers and gamers happy. They allowed games to evolve. We all went from titles like Dynasty Warriors 2 to Shadow of the Colossus. That's a massive, massive leap. We're not going to see that again this gen as most games will probably peak by year three. 

As a result, I think we see a faster decline and a faster shift into the next generation. The PS4 just won't be on the market long enough imo to pass PS1 or PS2.
