I don't understand how this gen let you down. Plenty of good games on any console unless you have odd taste in games. Gaming is just gaming. When you're on forums or youtube, that's completely different. If you just play video games then you'll never see the console war stuff.
Honestly, you should probably avoid forums from now on. Forums are where people with opinions from many different places go to discuss various topics. Conflict in general is more commonplace in forums and in RL than most would like to admit especially when different people intermingle. If you don't like to discuss, debate or argue then you shouldn't be on any forum and avoid opinionated people. This forum is kinda tame compared to a lot of others.
