The Vita is under tracked in 2014, so a number in the 2.5 million range is more then likely on a global scale. Never the less, I'm still calling 2 million for this year, maybe even a bit more.
A price cut is bound to happen, and Japanese support is pretty strong. I wouldn't be surprised if it could do 1.4 million in Japan alone this year, while 600k looks doable in the west. I doubt that China will have a huge effect on sales, but if they can manage to sell 200k in a year, even that would make a difference in the Vita's case 
I know that they are poor sales overall, but Sony will probably milk it as much as they can.
