Last year's sales by the end of October were
PS4 = 2.74mil
XB1 = 1.70mil
Difference = 1.04mil
PS4 sold around 64% more in the USA by the end of October

Last year's Novemeber and December sales were
PS4 = 1.92mil
XB1 = 2.52mil
Difference = 600k
XB1 sold around 31% more in the USA during the holidays

Last year's total sales in the USA were
PS4 = 4.66mil
XB1 = 4.22mil
Difference = 440k
PS4 sold around 10% more in the USA by the end of the year

It is hard to believe the xb1 does as poorly this year's Jan-Oct as it did last year simply because this year it will be selling for cheaper than the ps4 while last year it was more expensive/same price as the ps4.

The holiday months will probably mostly depend on who manages to make the better promotions. If the ps4's main promotion is $350 ps4s and the XB1's main promotion is $300 XB1s I think the XB1 will end up winning the year. If they both do $300 consoles or both do $350 consoles I think the ps4 will end up winning the year.

The USA is certainly anyone's game this year especially since those two months of holiday sales make up 50% of total yearly sales in the USA.

Personally I think the XB1 will manage to win the US this year because I believe the nonholiday months will be much closer this year and the xb1 will get the better holiday promotions again.

Yeah, and I've already seen Halo 5 cutouts at my local Wal-Mart lol. What answer does Sony have for that in the US? Uncharted? As great as that game is, it's not the sales juggernaut that Halo is. I think Halo is going to put the Xbone over the top for more than just two months this year.
