I'm thinking the final domestic box office total will be just a bit more then 300 million dollars which will make it the second highest grossing R rated movie domestically behind The Passion of the Christ.

its going to fly past that, it will probably land near 400 when its all said and done

Nope its legs aren't that good compare it to Mockinjay part one and its already way behind and that is only comparing the days both films where in full release.  After 15 days of it full release Mockinjay made $242 million and American Sniper is only at $223 million.  World wide it will easily make over $400 million dollars but not that much more since its not nearly as popular overseas as it is domestically since it really doesn't have world wide appeal.  As far as war movies go pretty much only WWII movies have world wide appeal and can easily make more money overseas then domestically.
