Of course you can find examples of Nintendo using red, but I've yet to see a strong argument for why Sony should be blue in preference. Nintendo have been using the white and blue motif since Wii days which is over nine years now. Their game cases are blue, their logo is blue, the loading icon is blue, they use blue LEDs on the console and controllers and last time I looked the predominant colour on Mario's outfit was......
(Hint: I don' think the answer is red)
