I expected nothing more than what happened. Which is the problem. Granted, this is the early days, but what do you expect to see over the next year?

Many more amiibo sold thanks to MP10 heavy support (and new amiibos), New 3ds amiibo support and a possible Nintendo amiibo game. And all Nintendo games this year for WiiU have amiibo support in some way.

The one I see having the most potential to sell Amiibos is the New 3DS support. The problem I see is that the people most likely to buy Amiibos to use for their 3DS probably already have a Wii U, being Nintendo fans.

In a lot of ways, how Amiibos sell will have a lot to do with what Nintendo does to tie them all together. Without a game already released to tie things together, I don't expect momentum to persist.
