Yes indeed. The GTA V thing is misleading because an awful lot of the map is in the water, and you can drive at 200mph+ and fly across the area, too. Obviously you won't be able to do this in Xenoblade X (mechs might go 30mph?). The Oblivion map may be more accurate, and anyone who's tried running across that knows how long that takes!

Anyway the most important stat to me is 5x the size of Xenoblade. Because Xenoblade was huge and took forever to traverse (in a good way). This only makes me think we'll be getting more of the same, which is excellent.

Also, please don't put Xenoblade spoilers or, if you do, please put them in spoiler tags.

How do you make that black line? (spoiler tags)

Also skyrim is apparently 40km, im about to look up a walkthrough of that.

You go to "Styles" in the top bar next to bold/italics etc., and change it to "spoiler".

Skyrim's map is ever so slightly smaller than Oblivion's map I think. Either way, a lot of Skyrim's map is unaccessable due to mountains and stuff, but that's not overly important. Most important thing is that this is damn big!

This "faction" thing sounds interesting. Will you be able to have proper factions with sidequests/their own story ala TES, perhaps? That would be quite neat.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
