Actually most of his movies have been pretty profitable.  Plus he has a long relationship with Warner Brothers that goes back to the first Dirty Harry movie almost 45 years ago.  At this point the only thing that can stop that is him finally retiring for good or dying.  I can't think of another actor/director that I would mostly associate with mainly one studio as Clint Eastwood and Warner Brothers.  Which is pretty amazing since he started acting after studios had the power to have exclusive rights to one actor.

No pretty much all his movies have been profitable at the box office.  The only one that bombed hard was Bird but it was still a pretty good movie.  Jersey Boys also bombed but not as bad as Bird despite being his worst movie he ever directed pretty much all critics hated it.
