There are 5 generations of Pokemon fans from other gens vs the 1 from gen 1. A lot of people would be pissed that none of their favories are represented. If they want to make a game like that, they'd need to make an equal amount of of Pokemon from each gen and set it in a new region. And it wouldn't realistically reach that many Pokemon anyway.

My interest in pokemon is not nearly high enough to read all that. It's great that pokken is including a nice mix of all of them but I'm not sure that pokemon fighting game is what everybody was thinking when they thought pokemon on the Wii U. If it turns out to be great, fantastic. Until I see a chair pokemon in pokken, I am doubtful of how it will turn out.
