They cannot forbid MS to have an app that buyers of their games must use. In the case of IE, internet in itself isn´t MS´s product, therefore forcing buyers to accept IE was in violation of EU laws. That decision has been heavily questioned though.
And why would it be smart? Do you seriously think it is a good idea for companies to be so small minded and not even able to compete on the same level without resorting to using the court?
