I don't think Microsoft would drop to $250 with free games by the holidays. Investors will only tolerate so much loss from a division. The Xbox One has to cost a lot more right now than the PS4 with the parts (memory) going up in price to the point where we are hearing rumors of DDR4 (newer and more expensive technology at the moment) R&D redesigns to keep future costs down. At some point Microsoft will have to please investors or spin-off the division.
It's a tough spot.
