Well that and EA already has the rights to the Star Wars games, so I'd assume Nintendo wouldn't be allowed to use that either.

Still it'd be worth it just for the rights to Marvel games. Nintendo doesn't really need Mickey and co. ... they already have Mario and Pikachu and Donkey Kong and Kirby. But Marvel? Hell yeah, that could be a game changer for them.

Would be good for Nintendo, but still a terrible move for Disney.

Just by taking Marvel you rip into Disney Infinity, which is heavily geared to the Marvel Universe this time.

Well I assume Disney would still be allowed to do whatever they want with Disney Infinity.

Nintendo would just get ancilliary rights to make additional games based on those IP, which really Disney doesn't use. The Avengers really didn't get a major game release, nor has Iron Man, the Spider-Man games have been crappy for ages, and there wasn't a major game for X-Men in a long time either.

Where does Nintendo get the resources to make these games?

Do they begin shelving their own IP to give their resources to Disney IP?

I just don't see how this would be a good move for either side to be honest.

In said scenario, I'd probably turn to Next Level Games, and partner one other US/Euro studio into making nothing but Marvel games. Maybe even NST as well (what the hell are they doing anyway aside from eShop Mario Vs. DK games?) with strict oversight from Nintendo to ensure that all the games are of high quality.
