Will Splatoon use Amiibo? Will there ever be an Splatoon amiibo?

If Splatoon becomes succesful, do you think Nintendo will make a Splatoon amiibo in the future? Will the game use existing amiibos? How would amiibos work in the game?

I think the obvious one will be the Mario amiibo, giving you a Mario Sunshine skin with the F.L.U.D.D.
