Squares did not make Tomb Raider an exclusive to improve the Xbox One; they did it for the large sum of money. Squares did not make this exclusive deal out of the goodness of their heart to save the Xbox One. Squares is not in the best financial position, they are not going to lose on potential sales allowed by the contract just to save the Xbox One. Microsoft themselves have been footing the bill for the Xbox family development, since they are footing the bill, the X360 version is pure profit for Squares Enix. The company has no reason to axe that pure profit unless Microsoft pays more to change the terms of their contract.
If the OP thinks Microsoft is going to try to give Squares an additional huge sum of money to lose sales for one of their own consoles and to change current development time into a sunk cost this late in the game...He should say that.
