Well, that is what the representative told us in the interview. He came to Colombia for SOFA (Salón del Ocio y la Fantasía), it was the first time that Nintendo came to an event officially after years of only sending Videojuegos Latinoamerica, we were able to interview him on and off-camera, the on camera interview was pretty standard, hyping the holiday season games, talking about the experience of coming for the first time to our country, and all that stuff. The off-camera interview was very interesting, we told him that the game prices for the Wii U games are on average 5 U$ higher than those of the other consoles and he told us that the price is decided by the distributor, not them; we told them that the console itself was not much cheaper that those of the competition and again he told us that it is defined by the distributor; and finally we asked about the third party game availability and once more he told us that since the distributor is the one who knows the market, they make the choice. He was legitimate concern about a few of the things we told him and he told us that he was going to check on them, but it seems the contract is outdated and could use a review, there is a good following here in the region (at least in the country) and it was shown during the event, where the Nintendo booth was just too small to meet the demand of the public and there were lines at all times. I can tell you at least for sure that the social network and publicity for Nintendo Products is totally controlled in Colombia by Videojuegos Latinoamerica (with its local subsidiary), since the last facebook and twitter post is dated October 31st of 2014, Nintendo does not leave a social network without content for 3 months during the most busy and important season of the year. I also know for sure that they get the games for a certain cost and decide on the final price for the local consumer. |
I don't really think Nintendo would open any of their terms on interview or recognize they allowed or were awere of the problem.
I also doubt a company this old and with so many representants over the time would make a contract with carte blanché for them.
They were incompetent if allowed and lenient for not monitoring. In a big company the screw ups of subordinates are all responsibilities of CEO, so you are also responsible for subcontractors.
About whorehouses. That is completely bogus. A woman is free to sell sex and a man to buy, but any facilitator or intermediary is illegal (although common). There is a lot of single woman because a lot of them don't want commitment and much are skanks.
