You are aware that Sony is closer to what you're predicting than Nintendo is? Sony execs are already debating among themselves whether or not PS5 will be physical or cloud based. They already are working on bringing their PS Now library to non Sony devices and even allow streaming PS4 games to Sony tablets.

Its a great idea but you got the wrong company. Sony will end up having their PS5 cloud service on the next Nintendo console, along with all phones, tablets, TVs, PCs etc.

That will be funny if it happens. Then there be no more excuses for Sony fans who also want to play Nintendo games. Well I am sure they will move the goal line like devs do every generation.

Oh yeah. Sony is lining themselves up to sell out super hard. The PlayStation logo will be on hundreds of millions of devices by the end of the decade and almost none of them will be a Sony console. Its smart for them in that they won't have to waste billions developing hardware anymore. That and their profit margins on consoles and most hardware and software is usually terrible. They need to sell consoles like gangbusters in order to get any profit. All of those problems disappear when they are cloud based.

Sony likes to pride themselves on having the most powerful console this generation and last generation too. But this generation they are already out of date a year into its life cycle. When its cloud based they will never be outdated again. They will always have access to the best graphics possible.
