Pretty sure MS owned Halo from the start and Sony bought the developer.


Halo was actually first displayed on Apple and Windows OS :P It was only later that Bungie was 'acquired' by MS only to be relieved from their contract later sans Halo ownership.


Just read that MS bought Bungie in 2000. They became independent after Halo ODST...
