Ok so i was a beleiver in The Order 1886 aspect ratio, but now im not so sure.
I was always led to beleive that the cinematic aspect ratio increases the frame of view (FOV) to an extent that would be impossible in a 16:9 image and i was OK with that and i liked that idea of a wider FOV.

Thats right. PC modders removed the black bars AND fixed the aspect ratio to represent that off a 'Cinematic' FOV, at first i was skepticle of this mod i thought SURELY there must be some hinderance in something...anywhere..somewhere...missing/streatched/upscaled pixels somewhere surely? apprently not. (correct me if im wrong here)
I dont know who made this image, but its completely FALSE. it leads you to beleive that the game would look crappy in 16:9

I have come to the conclusion that the cinematic aspect ratio (Black bars) offers no cinematic experience what so ever and its only benefit is missing pixels witch helps increase perofrmance. if u do mod The Evil Wthin u loose about 10frames due to this very reason.
There is no such thing as a 'cinematic aspect ratio' its all a lie.
I need someone to convince me im wrong, I WANT TO BE PROVED WRONG, i am actually disappointed about this myself. My whole life has been a lie. I have been defending this game and its aspect ratio on other sites like some dam fanboy and all along i may have been wrong THIS WHOLE TIME. If someone knows more about aspect ratios/black bars then do please speak up. Why would anyone have black bars if u can have the same FOV in fullscreen?
I still do plan on getting the game FYI
