PS360 had almost no games with constant 60fps, mainly fighters. ^^

That said, what Nintendo has done so far is very impressive. Smash Bros U runs very constantly no matter what is going on with actual 8-player. Compare that to other fighting games with usually just two players.

Super Mario 3D World always runs absolutely stable, no matter what's going on.

Nintendo does much to get a really constant framerate. Super Mario 3D World or Mario Kart 8 could look better if Nintendo went for '60fps sometimes or most of the time'.

Now Smash Bros could have looked roughly twice as detailled in 720p. But Nintendo obviously thought that gameplaywise resolution is more important.

That said, Zelda U will likely get a really constant framerate. Now frameratewise 60fps in a Zelda is not as important as 60fps in a Mario Kart, Mario World or Smash Bros. But there's some importance to a kind of living world.

The same goes for resolution more or less. That is either more details or clearer image. So if Zelda might benefit more from a clearer image Nintendo might go for higher resolutions instead of details.

Same goes for Mario Kart 8, even with its microstutter issue.
