Playing Wii Sports Resort, I loved the opening skydive sequence, as well as flying, table tennis, and archery, but what really killed it for me was the multiplayer, which is almost always turn based. NSMBW had some great levels, and sweet new powerups but just got a little boring after several worlds. Dunno, I might go back and finish it. |
NSMBW wasn't up to the level of Mario Bros 3, Mario World, or Galaxy, but I still felt it was a very well made game in its own right, with plenty of polish and a nice difficulty curve. My top Wii game of 2009 goes to Silent Hill Shattered Memories though; such a haunting experience.
