I know there's that article flying around out there from an interview will Bill Trinen that says there's no new Mario in 2015. The problem is, that article was published on January 2nd, which means it was conducted in December. He was in all likelihood talking about 2014, and the comment was taken out of context.  Which is something that happens all the time, unfortunately.

The original was that Nintendo might think about giving Mario a new role / context on their next system... and of course that they already researching what this next system should be like etc. (same as after every console launch before).

Media is in bad shape today making such a fuss about it.

Its the same with those AMD CEO words about the next x86 & ARM designs which will launch in 2016. AMDs customers have to decide when they will anounce more.

Media: oh its for sure Nintendo which will abandon the Wii U 2016...

Those idiots are not even thinking a minute how Facebook will monetarize Oculus when there is no mass market priced hardware being able to power such a device. And speaking of that kind of power: its many times of what a PS4 offers today. True next gen (as long as it is about graphics)...

Nintendo did announce more than enough exiting stuff for 2015. They had a stellar E3 2014, superb games which got the acknowlegment they deserved, won prices more than ever.

Seems that some media get nervous about that as their target audience can't cope which such things...
