I understand you want the library to be diverse, but I don't know why Retro has to suffer in order to appeal to this crowd. There are other capable developers within Nintendo's artillery to make the type of game you want. And just because they haven't developed something like that doesn't mean they can't.

You don't know how Diddy Kong Racing 2 will do. The game doesn't exist.

Naturally, this is all theoretical.

But once again, it's not so much about the kind of game I want, it's about the kind of game that would best serve Nintendo, and I can't help but feel that given the backlash we already saw over Tropical Freeze, their image would suffer quite a bit more from committing Retro to Diddy Kong Racing. On the other hand, they could score some cred and potentially attract some new customers with something with more of a wow factor. Just my two cents.
