If Nintendo launches a new console in 2016 (AMD Rumors) ...... will it be 8th or 9th gen

In 2 years the tech for more powerful and advanced consoles will be much cheaper. I think it would be hard for nintendo to make a weaker system than the ps4 at that point in time.

Not weaker, but not significantly more powerful. Nintendo have never been known to persue outright power, not since the SNES at least. Just my opinion.
