I'd counter that Bioshock and Batman are nothing like Prime, and Rayman is nothing like DKC.
Wii U is oversaturated with platformers, so I'm not sure a 3D platformer would be such a great idea. A racing game could have potential if it was something very unlike Mario Kart, such as F Zero.
