Retro said they couldn't use the dynamic camera angles because of the Wii's limitations so you are wrong about it being done on the Wii. Most of Nintendo's 2D platformers are easy. So I am dumbfounded that you keep saying it is playing it safe which is not entirely true. The difficulty and the cinematic platforming camera angles are examples of them going out of Nintendo's comfort zone. You might say the dynamic camera angles aren't special, but for a 2D platformer it kind of is. |
I'm sure Wii U's power made it easier, but I don't buy that it would be impossible on Wii. TF is the first Retro game that doesn't push the limits of its system.
It's playing it safe compared to the Prime trilogy, even if not compared to NSMBU.
