Uhhh, no. 

Tropical freeze was not that good. I mean it had way too many water/swimming levels, too few mine cart levels and it was just short. Also, the bosses were obnoxious.

I didn't find the bosses any worse than DKCR's, personally. 

For me, TF's much better musical score and multiple Kong partners with unique abilities give it the edge of DKCR, though both are superb.
