Prime 2 & 3 had much higher production values for their time/system and were much further outside Nintendo's comfort zone than TF.
Prime 3 also had the difficult task of selling motion controls in a hardcore action adventure game, yet succeeded with flying colours.
Tropical Freeze was a great game, but it felt like Retro were in cruise control, not pushing any boundariers.
