No Metroid or DK please.

Nope, they must do a new Metroid title. Fans can't stop requesting it; http://kotaku.com/shigeru-miyamoto-we-have-an-answer-to-your-question-1597993025

Retro itself has said they want to showcase Wii U's power: http://au.ign.com/articles/2014/02/28/wii-u-is-a-powerhouse-says-donkey-kong-country-developer

I don't think they like the idea of investing resources on a new IP, so using an existing Nintendo franchise it's more probable. Only Metroid has the chances of doing that.

Ok so what do they do, Metroid Prime 4?? Continuation of a series thats been dead since 09. Or do they reboot the series again, even if they take a similar approach to the Prime Trilogy. Are they even capable of making an epic game like this in HD?? I mean they are a rather small studio for such a large project and since the Prime Trilogy ended they have lost some rather key members of the team.

Personally I think they would be better off moving on to something new and not being held to a previous standard I dont think they can live up to.

They needed three years for making the two Donkey Kong games, so while they must do a new Metroid game or something equally massive, I pretty much agree, they can't. There's the Diddy Kong Racing rumor and I think it's going to be that.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
