Lol this is just wrong as far as I know. Wireless controllers present little to no lag certainly not enough for people to even notice it. Not to mention everyone saying use the wii u pro controller which is wireless. Many people play other fighters that require faster reflexes just fine with wireless controllers as well. Let me see if I can find this post that debunked the whole "wireless controller lag" thing.

Then you don't know, clearly. Wireless controllers do present input lag. That's a fact.

The entire reason people were upset by the gamecube controller tethered to the Wiimote was because that would mean that it's wireless. No one playing real fighting games (successfully) at a professional level is using a controller at all, let alone a wireless one. They are using wired fight pads. If they are outside of the 99th percentile, they are using a wired controller. absolutely none of them are going wireless. False information everywhere.

I agree with what you say about the slight input lag however your point is moot.

The reason it is moot because if no wired option was provided then everyone would have the same input lag disadvantage hence making it not a disadvantage.

You telling me that these so called pro players would have a dummy fit and not buy the game if a wired option was not provided? Look at 360 with all its fighters over the years and wireless controllers used in tournaments no on complained.

The only reason Nintendo did a wired controller is because they wanted to keep costs down by just producting the controllers from spare parts they had left over from the gamecube era.
