Quite the opposite is the case. Not actualizing the numbers brings in more traffic. The longer no new numbers, the more people click, click, click, come back and click click click on vgchartz to check if the new numbers are on. 

Anyway it´s really unbelievable. Not actualizing the data on a sales site is like mcdonalds stopping vending hamburgers.

This is usually not true. I work in the food industry. If we run out of something that people greatly desire they will take their buisness elsewhere then they will usually complain that they didnt get what they want and they will never come back.

If information is not there people will go where the information is. Furthermore the people that are usually here will go where the information is. Thats when things start to snowball..

But this is the only place you can get accurate WW sales numbers most of the year for video games. There is no other place to go to for that info. NPD only represents half of the sales data.
