I have been dying to play an MMO for a few years now, but cant find a good MMO. Last MMO I bought and played was Guild Wars 2; lets just say, that game was horrible. It had very good gameplay and PVP, but the PVE was repititive and u basically unlocked all skills from lvl 5. I never played WOW, actually. I want to, but buying all those expansions is going to be very expensive.

I am getting a PS4 soon and as many of you know FF14 is available on PS4. My current PC can run the game, but will suffer framerate drops in raids and stuff, so I thought about getting it on PS4. I have some questions that I am hoping somebody could answer.

1) How long does it take to reach lvl 50?

2) Can u tell me about the PVP Arenas?

3) END GAME CONTENT? I want an MMO to keep playing for a while. Maybe like a year or something.

4) Is it worth the 15$ monthly fee and will it always make me want to come back to it?

5) Does the game feel alive? I know there are 2.5 Million players, but is it easy to find dungeon/raid participants easily?

Dont really care about a lot of grinding or anything as long as the game is fun.

Please reply. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently, on hiatus because of school but I still enjoy it, even if I have to pay for it.

1. It takes longest for your first class, both in how it feels and actually. Once you have you're first Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic class to level 50, you already know how to level up quickly, protip dungeons give best exp, and the gap between your highest level and the level your training increases the exp gain.

This if your leveling up an offensive class, leveling a craft/gather class (DOH/DOL) is almost a different game.

2. PVP is challenging, but that its because its a completely different game from the PVE, low level PVE is easy since everyone is a scrub, but the higher the level the more challenging it gets and the more participants there are.

3. End Game content is honestly where this game shines. Everything else is good, but part of me feels that when you hit level 50 is when the game really starts. Easily 3 years + of content.

4. It really depends on how you want to play it and your circumstances at the time. This is not a casual game, if you're thinking your gonna play this game a couple of hours, when you feel like it? No way. Let me repeat that, if you aren't planning to play the game regularly a week in a schedule, then it won't be worth it. I like the game to play it daily, but when I went back to school, that was impossible, and the sub I paid in Uni was a waste.

I recommend paying on a monthly basis, paying for the month, and then disconnecting my credit card, is how I do it.

5. Yes. That being said, dungeons run on an instantance + random matchmaking systems, so depending on your class and the popularity of the raid/dungeon you might be waiting for hours, luckily its a queue and you can do other things outside of a queue, but the system could use some work imo.
