Obviously you havent played it on a large TV screen and in surround sound. You obviously don't own a ps3 or an xbox if you don't think DLC is a big deal. I've spent 80 bucks on rock band DLC alone... New Halo map pack just came out...for free and I'm having more fun with that than anything I've played on the wii since RE4 4 months back. And it was free... For wii only owners, DLC really can not be understood as Wii games are not designed in a way they can use DLC to an advantage. The only think I can think of is like a new event in mario and sonic olympic games or something like that...that would be kinda cool. I will not argue here anymore as I feel like I'm arguing against the whole site...but I do feel that nintendo is getting love from everyone just for being nintendo. Wii mote is basically a cool experiment accessory that worked out big for ninty when it came to sales. I appreciate they took the risk, but to do this, they cut the user short on many aspects that are standard with the other 2 consoles. Its not like they don't have the money to compete as they are a bigger company than whole of Sony electronics division so they could have included better hardware and bought some dedicated servers for an online comunity. When Nintendo releases their next system and is accepting HD gaming with DLC and all the jazz...I guess most of you will be on here and still praise them for evolving... |
No it wasn't a huge screen, but it was surround sound. It's the same experience. I'm not sure why you think slightly better character models would make a better gaming experience, especially when you should be watching the notes. Again, why would I care about DLC if I don't even play the bonus tracks included on the disc. I generally don't download extra content for games on the PC either (maybe if it's free).
Nintendo is not bigger than Sony. Not sure why you think that. Also, the Sony gaming division can also take losses for months on end, while Nintendo cannot.
It seems like we differ on what makes a good gaming experience. I think it's the gameplay, while the features you think are important I view as secondary.
