Again, how is $6 way too expensive for a brand new movie? Did you want to pay $2-$3 or something? To see a movie in theaters each person needs to pay $10+ while with this a whole family can pay only $6 in TOTAL to see it first

This is why I think they're losing money. More than 1 person usually goes to the theater together which brings in more money. But renting it for $6 for 24 hours gives the opportunity for a full family to watch it multiple times.

But still, I think they'll come close to breaking even with this and more stuff down the line. The biggest profit generator for movies is more often than not disc and download sales, not movie tickets.
