You guys are too close-minded. You know what sounds awful? Running around endlessly and pointlessly on a stupid dinosaur planet looking for some random girl that has nothing to do with any of the actual characters and trying to save everything from some reptiles and such. And not, you know, doing stuff you should be doing in a Star Fox game. Or enduring a cartoony mess with touch screen controls and a story worse than the worst fanfics you can find on the internet. Star Fox has been through too much crap for people to be so concerned about the new one. As I've said before, this franchise has only seen good games at the hands of the person who created it in the first place, and he's never ruined one of his creations either. The controls might not be for everyone, but the game does not sound awful at all - it sounds like a natural evolution to what Star Fox should have always been and it's being done in a way that can be innovative while not, as you say, destroying the franchise, which is something that has already been done 12 years ago to be honest. This game is going to top Star Fox 64. |
The new controls sound totally pointless; dual analogue could achieve the same outcome without the risk of major awkwardness. It seems like they are using the whole game to try to push Gamepad gimmicks onto us.
At least give us the option not to use the Gyro. If it's optional, I'll be fine with that. But if it's compulsory, it could ruin the entire experience.
