EA tends to invoke in me images of Big Brother. Every once in a while, they toss you a nice meal (SKATE, Army of Two), but they're pretty much just becoming more and more powerful while choking the video game world.
OT: While it's true Nintendo is not the greatest developer of every single genre, they are unequivocally untouchable in platformers and adventure games, and they do in fact make some of the highest-quality racers, RPGs, sports games, action games, and party games. Other developers who specialize in these genres may debatably do them better, but none of them can touch the overall quality of Nintendo in all those genres.
Not to mention the sheer fun factor. When I play Mario, more than any other game, I don't feel stressed or on edge at all! No other game series has the ability to hone in so much on the sheer FUN that is supposed to typify a 'game'.
