Since when is it "selling massively"? It's almost been outsold by it's competition who've been on the market for 50% of the time, and almost 2:1 in one of those cases. The people in this thread saying "it makes a profit so it's okay" make me laugh. That's not how businesses run kids. Products aren't launched without an expected return. I can guarentee that the Wii U is woefully short of hitting the expected profits Nintendo were planning on having, proven by the fact they've cut the expected sales of the console numerous times. If Nintendo don't bring out a successor in the next 18 months, they are dead in the living room - apart from ~10 million Nintendo fans, no one else will care for their console and that is far too small a market to bother investing in. |
My first 3 sentences were sarcasm, not sure if you didn't knew.
"If Nintendo don't bring out a successor in the next 18 months, they are dead in the living room" Yeah, noooo. Nintendo has been doomed, dead since the 90s, i hear this with different words for years now. Nintendo still here.
BTW WiiU will be higher than 10mil (At least 14mil+ lifetime imo), not sure if you didn't notice it has plenty of life in it, even without third party. Funny thing is 10mil too small yet with the smallest install base now, it still has these games that outsell a majority of others.
The way you phrase things about Nintendo (from most of your comments) just feels like another person who just wants Nintendo to die off "Just Because". I feel a little bad now that i think about it, they arent going anywhere anytime soon :-/
