If Microsoft plays all the right moves, and Sony stumbles a little, the Xbox One could pass the PS4 in the US and even UK. But as for the rest of the world, it's not possible. I don't see how Xbox One could surge ahead from the PS4's 20-to-1 sales lead in Japan, for example.
