I see everyone thinks it's a success but I don't.
I mean, Nintendo deployed special promotional displays for this and Amiibo is taking up lots of Nintendo shelf space.
Consider that Amiibo is much cheaper than a game, and I figure profit is 6 or 7 times lower than a game. So, divide the sales by 7 to compare to a game. If a big Nintendo game sold only 100k in US in first 2 weeks esp. during Black Friday it would be considered a massive failure. The sales to shelf space ratio is really low compared to a game.
