Yes its impacted it, but it was never going to do as much without 3ds version being made. 

But the Wii U version might have done a lot more, and those Wii U sales would have been worth far more to Nintendo in the grand scheme. The 3DS version would have been better being announced next year.

Yeah, but how much more? TBH this was definitely the best play overall Worldwide.

We'll have to agree to disagree, as far as increasing the Wii U userbase, it was an idiotic handling of the game.

Thats only increasing the userbase though,a userbase thats never going to cross 3.5mil in japan. Remember that^.

Also 3ds version was done before WiiU, and there are many other factors aswell in it :0
